What are some of the many features and benefits of the ULTIMATE RACK?
You can ...
- carry two ATVs on the truck
- pull a trailer while carrying two ATVs
- use the bed space to store gear or cargo
- install the rack in minutes by yourself
- disassemble the rack in minutes for easy storage
The rack does not rest on the bedrails of the truck.
Two 10-foot long aluminum ramps are included.
The ramps store on the rack under the loaded ATVs.
Rack and ramps are made of steel and aluminum.
The Ultimate Rack is powder-coated black with an orange peel finish.
From side to side, the Ultimate Rack is 96" wide, and carries most
configurations of any two stock ATVs currently sold.
Your ATVs face forward, saving fender damage caused by wind.
Carrying your ATVs in a forward-facing position conserves fuel while traveling.
Why did you invent the Ultimate Rack?
After many years of struggling with the question of how to get two
ATVs, as well as a camp trailer or boat, to a destination, people had
come up with several “innovative” ways of hauling their machines.
We felt there was a great need for a safe, reliable carrying system
that would allow someone to have all of their recreational vehicles
transported at once.

Is the Ultimate Rack safe to use?
There is always an inherent risk in using any carrying system, or in
using ATVs, for that matter. However, we have spent several years
designing, engineering, and testing our systems and we feel that they
are the safest, most reliable, and highest quality carrying systems on
the market.

What is the Ultimate Rack made of?
Ultimate Racks are fabricated out of 2-inch tubular steel. The
stationary joints are welded. Joints requiring assembly are connected
with 1/2-inch, grade-5 bolts and ny-lock nuts. The tire pans are
1/8-inch diamond-plated aluminum. Ramps are constructed of aluminum.

How much does an Ultimate Rack weigh?
A fully assembled, short bed rack, without ramps, weighs 261 lbs. The long bed model weighs 268 bs.
How long does assembly take?
It will take approximately 3-4 hours to put your Ultimate Rack together. All necessary hardware is provided.

Are any modifications to my truck required?
Not necessarily. The Ultimate Rack can be installed using the factory
tie-downs installed in most new trucks. If your truck doesn’t have
factory tie-downs, use the four D-ring and swivel-bracketed plates
provided in your hardware package. We highly recommend their use. Not
all trucks provide the appropriate tie downs for safe and proper
installation of the Ultimate Rack. This step takes approximately 30
minutes, and is a one-time procedure. Complete instructions are
included.

How do I get my Ultimate Rack into my pickup truck?
With the assembled rack standing on its rear end, position the truck
directly in front of the rack and pick up the rear end of the rack.
Using the tailgate as a fulcrum, slide the rack into the truck
bed. Using the four turnbuckles provided, secure the Ultimate Rack to
the truck bed.

Can one person install or uninstall an Ultimate Rack alone?
Yes. The rack is easily installed by one person. However, it is a good
idea to have someone with you just in case you need assistance.
Can I install an Ultimate Rack if my truck has a plastic bed liner?
Yes. However, minor modifications are needed in order to expose the
D-ring and swivel brackets. This can be accomplished by using a 2-inch
hole saw or a small handsaw.
I have a tool box in my long bed truck. Now what?
A short bed Ultimate Rack and a locking tool box are a perfect fit in a
long bed truck. In fact, we recommend it! That way, you can
have all your tools, and your ATVs, too.

How do I secure my loaded ATVs to the rack?
There are four 3/8-inch steel loops, two on the front and two on the
rear of the rack. Use tie-down straps to secure the ATVs to these
loops. We suggest using extra tie-downs on each ATV, just in case one
breaks. If your machines have independent rear suspension, we
strongly recommend that you purchase our Ultimate Tire Bonnets.

How does a fully-loaded rack affect the way my truck handles?
Your truck will handle as if you were carrying a small camper. The
weight of the ATVs is transferred through the frame of the rack to the
bed of the truck. No part of the Ultimate Rack touches or rests on the
bedrails. This allows a more stable ride than you would get with a
side-loading carrier, as most side-loading racks rest on and/or attach
to the bedrails. The ride and handling will vary depending on the size
of your truck. Handling a truck with a loaded rack on it is easier than
pulling an ATV trailer; especially on an uphill or downhill grade.

Can I carry just one ATV?
Yes! You won’t even know it’s there!

Where are the ramps stored when not in use?
The 10-ft.-long ramps, when folded, store conveniently on the rack
platform under the loaded ATVs, leaving the bed of your truck open for
storage. This is one of the most talked-about features of the
Ultimate Rack.

What is the angle of the ramps when attached to the rack?
The degree of angle varies with the height of your truck bed. If the
top of your truck bed is at five feet, the angle of the extended ramps
will be approximately 31 degrees.

How do I load my ATVs on the rack?
Try to minimize the ramp angle whenever possible. Position your truck
so that the rear end is lower than the front. A driveway approach or
similar depression works well. With the ramps pinned in place, simply
drive your ATV up the ramps onto the rack. ALWAYS wear a helmet
when loading or unloading your ATV.

Is there any other way to load and unload my ATVs?
YES! We have a great new accessory… Winch Buddy! If
you would rather not drive your ATVs up the ramps, we have a great
alternative. Available for separate purchase, the Winch Buddy System
consists of two 3000-lb. wireless winches with hand-held remotes.
They include all necessary hardware, wiring, and complete installation
and operation instructions.

What size ATVs can the rack carry?
The rack, from side to side, is 96" wide, and carries most
configurations of any two stock ATVs currently sold. However, it is not
designed to carry three-wheeled ATVs.

Do you make a model to fit small or mid-size trucks?
Not yet. They are currently under design.
Can I have a "custom" rack built?
Sorry, no. This patent-pending carrier system has been heavily
researched and engineered. Any alterations could compromise the
integrity of the rack.
After ordering, how soon will I receive my rack?
If in stock, we will ship your Ultimate Rack within 2-3 days. If
we are temporarily out of stock, please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.
We can tell you at the time of ordering exactly what we have in
stock. We will send an e-mail confirmation to you on the date
your rack is shipped. You will then be able to track it by the
shipper’s PRO number.
What about shipping?
Your rack will be shipped by a common carrier and will arrive in two
cardboard containers. You will need to pick up your Ultimate Rack at
the freight terminal nearest you in your geographic area. The total
weight of the containers is approximately 327 pounds. The shipping cost
will be $150.00 to a freight terminal near you. If you would like your
rack delivered to your home, there will be an additional cost of $35.00
for residential delivery.

What has the response to Ultimate Racks been so far?
Everyone who has purchased an Ultimate Rack loves it! Everywhere
they go, they find themselves the center of attention, with lots of
questions being asked of them regarding where they got it, and how to
get one. We have shown our products at several ATV gatherings,
with great response from the crowds.

What are some other benefits of owning an Ultimate Rack?
Ultimate Racks are constructed of high quality materials, providing
maximum strength and durability. All open ends on the steel tubing have
been capped, welded, and ground smooth.
The entire rack has been powder-coated to hold up under the harshest of
weather conditions, and tolerates heat and moisture much better than
paint. Powder-coating gives much longer wear, is chip-resistant, and
looks great!
Our tire pans are a beautiful blend of functionality and appearance.
The 1/8-inch plate aluminum is rust-proof, easy to clean and very
durable. All edges are covered with a black edge trim for a smooth
finish, a superb look, and safety.
The Ultimate Rack ramps are each ten feet long and constructed of
aluminum. Rated at 1000 lbs per ramp, they can easily bear the weight
of even the largest of ATVs. After use, the ramps are folded and stored
conveniently under the loaded ATVs, leaving the truck bed space
available for gear storage.
The Ultimate Rack is designed to complement your full-size truck!
Whether you drive a short bed or long bed pickup, the Ultimate
Rack fits! If you have a long bed with a standard size toolbox, the
short bed model works, so you can have dry and lockable storage, your
tools, and your ATVs with you at the same time.
The Ultimate Rack rests on the floor of the truck bed, not on the bedrails, providing more stability and evenly-distributed weight. This feature prevents damage to your bedrails.
Your ATVs face forward when loaded on an Ultimate Rack. This cuts down
on wind resistance and prevents fender damage caused by wind. By having
your ATVs facing forward, gas mileage is improved. When loading ATVs
from the rear of the truck instead of the side, there is no chance of
accidentally driving off the other side. The headache rack helps
protect the cab and rear window.
